The Center of Love was born from the union of two complementary callings: visionary leadership and embodied wellbeing.
Jem Fuller
our Founding Director, brings decades of experience in executive coaching, conscious communication, and cultural transformation. He carries the big-picture vision for CoL: to create a global network of sanctuary-education hubs that reimagine learning and leadership in the age of AI.
Talia Avenell
our Embodiment & Wellbeing Lead, grounds this vision in lived experience. With a lifelong dedication to women’s health, mindful movement, and community wellness, she designs and facilitates the practices that make CoL’s mission tangible—felt in the body, heart, and daily life.
Together, Jem and Talia hold the head and the heart of The Center of Love: one offering strategic clarity and systemic vision, the other creating embodied pathways to presence, resilience, and love. Their partnership ensures that CoL is not only an idea but a living sanctuary, where transformation is both imagined and experienced.
The Story
In 1998, during his years of traveling the world, Jem Fuller wandered into the Himalayas and into the life of a man who would become family. In the forest above the small village of Naggar, Himachal Pradesh, Jem met Pappu and his family, who welcomed him into their sacred temple home. Living there among the mountains, Jem felt a deep calling: one day, he would bring others to this place of beauty, wisdom, and simplicity.
Over the decades that followed, Naggar became Jem’s second home. In 2013, he began leading Conscious Leader retreats there, bringing groups of leaders from around the world to reconnect with purpose and presence in the stillness of the Himalayas. Together with Pappu, Jem gave back to the community—helping build a small internet school, supporting local conservation programs, and weaving bonds of trust and reciprocity.
As their friendship deepened, Pappu donated a piece of land to Jem and his partner Talia Avenell, planting the seed for something greater. It was here that Jem first envisioned The Center of Love—a sanctuary where local and global communities could gather, learn, and flourish together.
What began as a few small acts—like sponsoring children from the village to attend school—has now expanded into a powerful vision. Through a partnership with Amitabh and Yuva Unstoppable, the Center of Love is opening pathways for hundreds of children in the region to access education and opportunity.
From one friendship in the mountains grew a dream: to build a network of sanctuary-education hubs that ripple out love, wisdom, and transformation across the world.
